NESLO RED HERD
Our red herd was founded over 30 years ago on Stanley Park Brahmans featuring strong Avondale and Wairuna bloodlines. The further addition of old Cherokee bloodlines continued to establishe a strong base on which to build.
Recently, sires from Kandoona [Kandoona Chirac], Billabong [Billabong Campbell], Alma Park [Alma Park Tom] and Alma [Alma Erik] studs have blended well to produce growthy cattle with good bone ,length, beef and muscling.
As with our grey herd, an extensive AI program is undertaken annually, sourcing a variety of modern genetics. We also continue to focus on producing, tender, feed efficient Brahmans. Most sires have a tenderness score of at least 4 stars and a feed efficiency of 7 or 8.
BILLABONG CAMPBELL
Campbell was purchased at RBWS 2006. He has blended well with our females, producing bulls at RBWS 2008 that topped at $27000. He is a long, well muscled bull with an excellent temperament.
ALMA PARK TOM 1644
Tom was also purchased at RBWS 2006. He is a long thick bull with a good temperament, and has produced some quality offspring.
NESLO R 2058 RED RANCHER
Rancher is a bull sired by Lancefield Rancher. As well as being a Scurred bull with excellent bone, fleshing and muscling, he also has Very good gene markers for tenderness and feed efficiency:
MARBLING: M2=1 TENDERNESS: T1=2,T2=0,T3=2,T4=2 FEED EFFICIENCY: F1=2,F2=2,F3=2,F4=2.
He has produced many polled and scurred offspring, with high results for tenderness and feed efficiency.
